Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Duenly (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Duenly mobile application (the “App”).

We do not sell your personal information.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account information: such as your email address and sign-in credentials (passwords are not stored in plain text).
• Task content: titles, notes, and metadata you add (for example, time estimate or energy level).
• Feature requests: titles, descriptions, and votes you submit through the feature request system.
• Support communications: information you include when contacting support or sending feedback.

Information collected automatically

• Usage information: app interactions and feature usage (including AI usage counts) to run the service and enforce limits.
• Diagnostics: error logs and crash reports to maintain reliability and fix issues.
• Device/app info: such as device type, OS version, and app version (as provided by your device/OS).

Subscription information

• Entitlements and status: subscription status and plan type as provided by Apple.
• Purchase history indicators: records needed to validate access and restore purchases.

Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide and operate the App (including saving and syncing your tasks)
• Authenticate users and maintain account security
• Deliver features you request (including optional AI features and feature requests)
• Display feature requests to the community and track voting activity
• Guide product development and prioritize new features based on user feedback
• Manage subscriptions and determine entitlements
• Enforce usage limits and prevent abuse
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and fix bugs
• Send service-related messages (for example, security or policy updates)
• Comply with legal obligations and protect the App, users, and our rights

AI Features

If you choose to use AI features, the content you submit for AI assistance (such as task text and related metadata) is sent to an AI service provider to generate suggestions.

• AI is used to generate task-related outputs (for example, breaking tasks into steps or rewriting a task).
• We send AI providers only what's needed to fulfill your request.
• AI features may have usage limits to help manage cost and prevent abuse.

AI providers process data according to their own terms and policies and the configuration we use. For details, review the provider's documentation and any in-app disclosures.

Feature Requests

The App includes a feature request system that allows you to suggest improvements and vote on suggestions from other users.

What information is collected

• Request content: the title and description you provide when submitting a feature request.
• Voting activity: which feature requests you have voted for.
• Submission metadata: timestamps and status information related to your requests.

How feature requests are used

• Displayed to users: Feature requests you submit are visible to other users of the App and may be displayed with vote counts and status updates.
• Product development: We review feature requests to understand user needs and prioritize development work.
• Community engagement: Feature requests help facilitate communication between users and our development team.

Visibility and control

Feature requests are public within the App. Do not include personal information, confidential data, or sensitive details in your submissions. If you delete your account, your submitted feature requests may remain visible but will no longer be associated with your account.

How We Share Information

We may share information in the following situations:

• Service providers: with vendors that help operate the App (for example, hosting, authentication, subscriptions/entitlements, analytics/diagnostics, and AI processing).
• Legal and safety: if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the App, or others.
• With your direction: when you request or consent to sharing.

We do not sell your personal information.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information, such as encryption in transit and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We generally retain information:

• For as long as your account is active
• For a limited time after account deletion to support recovery, prevent fraud, and meet operational needs
• Longer if required or permitted by law (for example, to resolve disputes or enforce agreements)

If you delete your account, some information may remain in backups for a limited period before being removed in the normal course. Feature requests you have submitted may remain visible in the App even after account deletion, though they will no longer be associated with your account. This allows the community to continue viewing and voting on valuable suggestions.

Your Choices & Rights

Depending on where you live, you may be able to:

• Access, correct, or delete certain information
• Request export of your data where supported
• Opt out of non-essential communications
• Request removal of feature requests you have submitted (subject to our moderation policies)

Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

International Transfers

Duenly is operated from the United States and is currently intended for users in North America. If you access the App from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.

Availability by country/region is controlled through the App Store. If we expand availability to additional regions in the future, we may update this Privacy Policy to reflect any additional requirements.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the App and/or by email where appropriate.
